Happy Wedding Wednesday!

The only thing more romantic than receiving a wedding proposal at the stroke of midnight on January 1st is getting married and saying, “I do” at the stroke of midnight on January 1st.  Dressing up to head out to a swanky New Year’s Eve celebration is always fun, but when combined with a wedding event, it takes celebrating the New Year to a whole New Level!

Although a sedate, low-key wedding is always an option, a bride should seriously consider having a black-tie affair if she wants a New Year’s Eve wedding.   The festive theme of the holiday can give a wedding an exponential increase in the ‘celebration quotient.’   In addition, many people look forward to celebrating New Year’s Eve as it gives them a chance to party in extravagance.

With a New Year’s Eve wedding theme, a bride and groom can go ‘full-out’ with the works including champagne, a gourmet menu, an orchestra/live band, confetti, fireworks—and if they time it right, they can even give each other their first kiss exactly at the stroke of twelve.   However, if the couple rather ring in the first day of the year at their reception, they can plan to have a mini replica of the Times Square ball drop as they and their guests make the countdown; or, have a flat-screen television set up to count down with the broadcast.

There are definitely NO LIMITS to what a bride and groom can do for their ‘NYE nuptials’ as the possibilities are endless.  What better way to start a New Year than with a new life with the one you love?

Happy (almost) New Year!
